  • Where are Wibes manufactured?

    Wibes are made with care in Europe and more precisely in Portugal, in a family and artisanal factory that has been working with shoes for more than 40 years by experienced craftsmen.

  • Are there male and female models?

    All our models are unisex. The sizes go from 36 to 46 (EU). The Akwaba models also exist in children’s sizes qfrom 30. Only the models N’Zassa Butterose and City Elegant are exclusively feminine.

  • What size should I wear if I hesitate between two?

    We advise you to consult the product sheets present for each model of our brand. More generally, we advise you to pick up the upper size if you like to be comfortable (in your sneakers) or the lower size if you like to be well fitted and well held.

  • Do you have certifications/labels?

    Yes absolutely, our canvas models are ALL certified.

    • Our recycled polyester canvas made from fishing nets and marine plastic waste caught in the Mediterranean Sea is Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and OEKE-TEX Standard 100 certified.
    • Our 100% recycled cotton and polyester canvas, made without chemicals, water and 50% solar energy is certified Global Recycled Standard (GRS).
    • Our cotton is organic and is labeled GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard).
  • Are the sneakers vegan?

    We have one vegan collection at the moment: the AKWABA collection.
    All our other collections use leather.

    Akwaba: for this collection, we do not use any animal products, but organic cotton, recycled polyester and cotton and anti-perspirant fabrics. On the other hand, we cannot guarantee a zero use of animal products in the creation process of these models (glue for example).

  • Why are your sneakers ethical?

    Our brand and more generally our sneakers are ethical for several reasons:

    • We use as much as possible environmentally friendly materials (see product descriptions for more information).
    • We work in short circuit to reduce our environmental impact. All products come from Europe (Portugal, Italy and Spain), most of them close to production. Only the wax fabric, for its authenticity, comes from Abidjan in Cote d’Ivoire.
    • We work with suppliers who are also committed to minimize their environmental impact and working in good conditions.
    • We have included a social approach at the heart of the company and this is expressed through various actions.

  • What materials are used for your sneakers?

    For leather models – N’Zassa – Rétro :

    • Upper in smooth calf leather with vegetable tanning, metal-free and biodegradable. Provenance Portugal.
    • Vegetable-tanned, metal-free suede leather. Italian origin.
    • Piece of fabric on the back and tongue made out of 100% cotton Ivorian wax fabric. Origin Côte d’Ivoire.
    • Inner lining 100% lamb leather beige color vegetable tanned and metal-free. Provenance Portugal.
    • Sewn insole 100% lambskin leather beige color vegetable tanning and metal-free removable. Provenance Portugal.
    • Hand-stitched outsole made of 40% recycled rubber.  Provenance Portugal.
    • The skins used come from the food circuit.

    For the canvas models – Akwaba (vegan):

    • 100% recycled cotton and polyester, without chemicals, without water and with 50% solar energy. Global Recycled Standard (GRS) label. Origin Spain.
    • Organic cotton certified GOTS. Origin Spain.
    • Recycled polyester canvas from fishing nets and marine plastic waste caught in the Mediterranean Sea. Global Recycled Standards (GRS) and OEKE-TEX Standard 100. From Spain.
    • Ivorian wax fabric 100% cotton. Origin Côte d’Ivoire.
    • Inner lining in anti-perspirant and anti-bacterial textile. Provenance Portugal.
    • Removable insole sewn in anti-perspirant and anti-bacterial textile. Origin Portugal.
    • Hand-stitched and glued 40% recycled rubber outsole. Origin Portugal.
  • How to take care of my Wibes?

    For leather models – N’Zassa, Retro and City Collection :

    • Before your first time in WIBES, we advise you to waterproof them with a suitable product (cream or spray).
    • On a daily basis, maintain the smooth leather of your shoes by cleaning them regularly.
    • Use shoetrees to avoid any dirt in the folds.
    • Avoid any source of heat.
    • In case of stains, clean them with a damp cloth and a little soap.

    • Before your first time in WIBES, we advise you to waterproof them with a suitable product.
    • In case of stains, clean the cotton and wax with a damp cloth and some washing powder.
    • Avoid any source of heat.

  • What are the delivery methods offered?

    All your orders are shipped directly from our warehouse in Normandy, free of charge for you, with Colissimo in Metropolitan France and Colissimo International for your orders abroad.

    • In France : free shipping and return
    • In Europe : 10€
    • Outside the EU zone: 20€

    *Please note that we are working in partnership with an external warehouse, we do not own it.

  • What are the delivery times?

    Delivery times vary according to the area served, customs and time of the year.

    • In France :

    Colissimo: 72 hours, from Monday to Saturday.

    • In Europe :

    Colissimo: 5 to 10 working days, from Monday to Saturday, from the shipment of your order.

    • Outside the EU zone:

    Colissimo: 8 to 21 working days, from the shipment of your order. However the delivery can vary according to the time of routing incumbent on the local post office. We decline any responsibility for the lengthening of delivery times due to the carrier.

  • How do I track my package? 

    All your orders are received and processed directly through our warehouse interface.

    You will be able to track your package as soon as it has been shipped. You will receive a message at each step, from order to delivery.

    1. The first message will tell you that your order has been received and is being processed.
    2. You will then receive a new message indicating that your package has been taken care of with a tracking number that will allow you to follow it directly on the internet via the Colissimo website.
    3. Finally, you will receive a final message indicating that your package has been delivered.
  • What happens if I am not at home at the time of delivery?

    Don’t worry. The deliveryman of the Post Office will leave you a delivery notice indicating the nearest post office where you can go directly to pick up your order the next day with your ID. Your telephone number has also been given, and the delivery man must call you if he cannot leave the package in your mailbox.

  • Can I have my order delivered to a location other than my home?

    Of course. During the different stages of ordering, you will have to fill in your billing and delivery addresses, which may be different. So, you can have your order delivered wherever you want, or make a gift to a loved one by entering their address and contact information in the delivery information space.

  • I didn't receive my package, what can I do?

    This can happen for different reasons. But don’t worry, every problem has its solution :

    • The delivery person may have forgotten to leave a delivery notice, and you will be able to quickly check with your tracking number where your package is.
    • It is also possible that there was an error in the address (common).
    • You may also be ordering during busy periods such as Christmas, Mother’s Day, or during sales. During these periods, delivery times and returns are usually longer and you will have to wait a little longer.
    • Recently, the COVID-19 crisis has also caused and continues to cause delays and delivery problems.

    In any case, you can contact us directly at and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have and resolve any problems you may have. We will double check with or warehouse provider to locate the package quickly.

  • I have returned my package, when will I receive my refund or exchange?

    We work with a warehouse specializing in sending parcels. Returns are generally received and processed within ten days of your shipment. This delay is due to the large number of returns and packages arriving at the warehouse every day.

    As soon as your package is received, picked up and checked, we will refund you or send you a new pair.
